271 S Vermont Avenue Glendora, CA 91741
Due to the health concerns created by Coronavirus we are offering personal 1-1 online video walkthough tours where possible.
The most important to real estate is location. You can walk to the police, library, post office, city hall, downtown, Foothill Gold Line Glendora station, bank, Vons/Albertsons, and other grocery stores. This 2-level detached condo is located north of Fwy 210 where school-aged residents in Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, and Claremont go to high schools with ratings of 9. Moreover, taking 210 W can reach Pasadena, Los Angeles, and Hollywood, enjoying the one-day tour in Beverly Hills, The Getty Center, the California Science Center, and more... Taking FWY 57 and go directly south to Orange County, even San Diego to enjoy a weekend with a beach/ocean. To the east, the Foothill Gold Line from Glendora to Montclair will add new light rail stations to the Metro A Line system in the cities of Glendora, San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Claremont, and Montclair – and will be built in phases. The first four stations are under construction, and 90% completed. The light rail is powered by electricity, which means it is quiet. The drivers typically use a quacker horn, which is only heard if you are at the street crossing. They also installed sound walls along residential areas, installed shrouds around the bell speakers to have the noise directed to the street crossing, away from the homes. Once the gates are down horizontally at those same crossings, the bells stop ringing when a light rail train approaches. You will see a security camera installed for each station with street lights, making the station area very bright and safe. The 12.3-mile extension will connect to many regional destinations, including two dozen colleges and universities, like CalTech, and Claremont Colleges, within a short walk, bike, or bus ride from one of the future stations, the Los Angeles County Fairplex, Raging Waters, several regional parks, the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument, historic downtowns, many museums and much more. The Glendora Station and associated 302-space parking facility (with charging stations for EVs, bicycle parking, and bus and drop-off areas) is located just south of the city’s historic downtown, east of Vermont Avenue (short walking to this home), and west of Glendora Avenue. Besides the excellent location offering gasoline and time saving, this home has solar panels on the rooftop, which means saving on power and money. The owner always maintains the property at a high standard, almost like a new home. You must come and see it yourself!
